Today's Preview
Packed board on this Thursday with 13 matchups total. Golf, a soccer tournament and a couple MLB matchups.

We get started on the links like we do every Thursday, first with a 9-hole matchup between Stuart Appleby and Scott Verplank. The odds are with the win or tie here. Also, Tiger Woods squares off against himself on the par-5's. He can't birdie them all, can he?

The Audi Cup finishes off today as well, with Boca against AC Milan for 3rd place and the host Bayern Munich against Man U for the championship.

In the evening, the Mercury, the "over" in CFL and 2 runs or fewer are the best plays.

US Senior Open: Which player will have the lower first round score?
Tom Watson takes on Larry Mize in our battle of the day. Can Watson keep his stellar play going? Both golfers are favored to win their group therefore it should be a close one.

The day starts in Germany for the Audi Cup. Boca Juniors take on the world's most popular club and two powerhouses clash in the second match.

For MLB props we have Zach Duke going up against Matt Cain and a plate appearance matchup featuring Ryan Howard. Believe it or not, Duke has thrown more innings this season than Cain. Just something to think about.

The MLS All-Star game is also tonight and the MLS boys look to stay undefeated against out of country opponents.

Major League Baseball - New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays
For the second day in a row we have the big-time AL East showdown. Can Garza bring the Rays back into title contention or will Joba sting the Rays?

Yesterday's Results

The ATP Tour is in Los Angeles, and there's a great early-round matchup as American John "The Tall Guy" Isner takes on German Benjamin "No Relation" Becker.

Major League Baseball - New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays
It's now time for the Rays, as they've fallen to five games back in the wild card race, but they've got a tough row to hoe against the red-hot Yankees who have won nine of their last ten games. Sabathia and Kazmir are the scheduled starting pitchers.

The Phoenix Mercury travel to Connecticut to face the Sun in an ESPN2 WNBA broadcast. Early Streakers are siding with the Mercury by a 9-1 margin despite their underdog status at the sportsbooks.

Most sports have an off-day, so the Streak relies on soccer and baseball for the Monday schedule. The soccer competition de jour is the Peace Cup; this afternoon's matchup is between Euro powerhouses Lyon and Porto.

Danish soccer goes back-to-back on the Streak when AGF Aarhus travels to Randers FC. The visitors get the draw.

The New York Yankees have been on a tear recently, but against some weaker competition. On Monday they face a tougher test as they go on the road to Tampa Bay - scheduled to start are A.J. Burnett and James Shields.

Monday Night Baseball - Los Angeles Dodgers at St. Louis Cardinals
The National League's best team visits the Gateway City for the first of a four-game series. The Dodgers hold a sizeable lead in the West but are concerned about the health of slugger Manny Ramirez. On the other side, the Cardinals recently relenquished first place to the Cubs and would like to get it back.

Two of baseball's best young pitchers (some would just say the two best) are matched against each other although they are playing in separate games. King Felix Hernandez takes on Tim Lincecum in a more-strikeouts matchup.

Today's Preview
A typical Saturday melange, with rugby, soccer, baseball, women's basketball, NASCAR, cycling, and CFL all making the slate.

As the Tour de France approaches its conclusion, there are still some riders battling it out within the top ten. Vincenzo Nibali and Christian Vande Velde are two such riders, and have plenty of incentive to try to beat one another in Saturday's earliest matchup.

When the soccer gets sparse, the Streak looks north. Sometimes, it even ends up in Brommapojkarna, where the home team will try to defeat favored Kalmar. This time, it's the locals who get the draw.

Last week New Zealand came through against the Aussies in a Tri-Nations battle - this time the All Blacks will be on the road against the vaunted South African team. Early Streakers are remaining faithful to the Kiwis.

MLB - Philadelphia Phillies at Florida Marlins

A lot on our plate on this Thursday before vacation. Two women's semi-final matchups in London, a few golf props and more MLB matchups than you know what to do with.

The UEFA Europa League qualifying begins today as well. Both home squads are favored in each first-leg matchup.

In MLB props we have a new one with a "total runs plus hits plus errors" matchup between the Astros and Padres. The "under" has been marked the favorite so far.
