Rhode Island resident wins $50,000; $350,000 up for grabs in OctoberSeptember is always a fantastic month for Streakers as football, both college and pro, gets into full swing and brings yet another layer of complexity into the Streak mix. This time around it didn't exactly pave the way for big runs as no one had cleared the W21 hurdle with only a few days left in the month. Eight people did eventually manage to get a W22 or higher, and heading into the final evening three people still had a chance to claim the $50,000. One contender decided to take the Rangers with a W21 instead of taking the 1st and 2nd Half MNF props like they needed to in order to reach a W23, thus eliminating them from contention in a bizarre turn of events. That left Bob C. from Wakefield, RI tied for the lead at W23 with four matchups still available to get to W24. He didn't hold the all important highest winning % tiebreaker over the inactive W23 so he needed to gamble, for whichever matchup Bob chose would be the difference between earning $50,000 for his efforts and going home empty handed. Taking the Rays (-115) against the Rangers appeared to be the ultimate gamble, but in an albeit terrible pun "the Price was right" as David Price led the Rays to a 5-2 victory and secured him the number one spot in the final moments of September. Congratulations to Bob for coming out on top in what must have been a nerve-racking couple of hours to say the least! The "Most Wins" competition was won by Kenny G., who gets the $2,500 prize by notching his 102nd win on the final prop of the month and claiming the cash based on the first tiebreaker (highest winning %). It doesn't come any closer than that so a big congrats to Kenny!
Since the W27 Stash was not reached in September it will rollover and be worth a massive $350,000 (Stash + monthly) in October. This is now the second biggest Stash in Streak for the Cash history ($450,000 was the biggest) so get out there and start making picks! As always, good luck in October and thank you for your dedication to the game!
