It must be Halloween, nice prank Phillies...oh wait.
My Worst Nightmare Comes True and Wins Per Month Chase Coming Down to the Wire at 3:41 p.m. ET
It must be Halloween, because I feel like I am dead on the set of "Friday The 13th." The Phillies have finally won the World Series. It was extremely hard to watch because this could have been avoided if the Mets could win more then one game in a row in September! But, I have to hand it to the Phillies, they were clutch all year and deserved this title.
Our chase for the wins per month title is very close. Three Streakers have a chance to win the prize, whom have 55, 56, and 57 wins respectively. Tomorrow, I am trying to make a possible five-win day, therefore, it should come down to the last pick.
Pigskin Pick'em; Leaders: 65
The StreakMaster: 53
Eliminator; Leaders: 7914 Perfect Entries Left
The StreakMaster: 7 out of 8
What does this all mean? That The StreakMaster is in striking distance of all of these leagues, watch your backs.
The Ginn sur Mer Classic starts our day with Davis Love III going up against Chris DiMarco in a "lower first nine holes" matchup at 8:10 a.m. ET, followed by Peter Lonard versus Robert Garrigus at 12:10 p.m. ET.
In soccer action, an English Conference match is at 3:45 p.m. ET, with Crawley favored on the road at Salisbury City, which is never an easy place to play. Then at 7:30 p.m. ET, Chicago is at New England with the Fire receiving the draw on the road.
Two NBA games make our board, first at 8:00 p.m. ET, the Mavericks (-3.5) host the Rockets, then at 10:30 p.m. ET, the Suns (-2) host the Hornets.
NHL Favorites for the night: Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadians and the San Jose Sharks
NCAA College Football Thursday: #23 South Florida at Cincinnati
The Bulls of South Florida look to avoid the Thursday night upset when they travel to Bearcat country. Oddsmakers have South Florida listed as the favorites at -2.5 and I expect them to take care of Cincinnati especially after the Bearcats were embarrassed last weekend thanks to Connecticut.
Yesterday's Results: Thanks to a handful of NBA upsets, the overall winning percentage was a poor 41.1 percent. The top streak extenders were the New Orleans Hornets who won on the road at Golden State and the top streak breaker was Stanislas Wawrinka who was knocked out of Paris. We now have three leaders a 18 wins!
